She Says

A popular, family-friendly local suburban café inspired by the location, which used to be a primary school ground before it became a local park.

It was a lazy Sunday morning and brunch time with our good friends.  Bright and open, hosting long rectangular wooden tables and benches, small round tables, cushioned lounges…the café was cosy while catering for all groups. Couples, parents with their children and prams along with groups of friends swarmed the place. Luckily we had a booking.

CORN FRITTER
It’s exciting to see corn fritter on the breakfast menu as it’s not as common as bacon and eggs. It was nicely cooked, fluffy with generous amounts of corn throughout the fritter giving this savoury dish a hint of sweetness from the corn and sweet chilli. It’s served with rocket salad and to add more protein, we ordered a side of bacon.

EGGS BENEDICT
It was a filling and delightful dish of poached eggs on English muffins with a rich hollandaise sauce accompanied by gypsy ham and spinach. Quite the typical dish on breakfast menus across cafes in the world, the taste and quality was there and I’d quite easily order this one again.  Added a side of cooked mushrooms.
